Movement with Room for Life and Spring Sunshine

Spring and summer in Copenhagen means brighter days, more spontaneous plans, and perhaps a few more glasses of wine under the open sky. It’s a time when rhythms shift and the desire to be outside and enjoy life often takes precedence over strict routines.

But that doesn’t mean you should skip your workouts or compromise your body. On the contrary, with a flexible approach and a few minor adjustments, you can easily integrate movement, well-being, and summer joy.

Take your workout outside

When the sun is shining, the mat doesn’t have to stay in the studio or living room. Simply rolling out the mat in the yard, on the balcony, or in a green corner of the park can bring new energy to your exercise. Fresh air and movement is a powerful combination for both body and mind.

Let your routine follow life – not the other way around

Spring and summer often bring more unpredictable schedules – holidays, events, kids at home, visits from abroad. And that’s completely normal.
The key is not to abandon your practice but to adapt it.

Some suggestions:

  • Sit down Sunday and overview the week – when can you realistically fit in a workout?

  • Let go of the “all or nothing” mindset. A single class or a short home workout makes a difference.

  • Find a partner or make a promise to yourself – it makes it easier to stay committed.

Give your body the energy it needs

As the pace picks up and temperatures rise, your body needs both hydration and nourishment. It doesn’t have to be complicated – often it’s the simple things that work best.

Think:

  • A big glass of water before the coffee hits the cup.

  • Meals with fresh ingredients and lightness: salads, berries, chicken, eggs, lentils.

  • Snacks that combine fruit and protein – like apple and almonds or carrot sticks and hummus.

Move for the joy of it

Pilates isn’t about performance – it’s about connection, strength, and well-being. You don’t have to be perfect; you just have to participate. Even if it’s just 10 minutes on the floor with some deep breaths and gentle movements.

We have classes in the studio, and you can always jump online if you’re on the go.
No matter if you’re in the city or enjoying the country/abroad, you can stay connected to your body.

Let’s make this season one where movement supports your life – not competes with it.
